But it's important to know which of these products are on the top of the offender's list so you can do your best to avoid them in the future.- Pot pies
Frozen pot pies are chock full of bad stuff and best avoided. Particularly bad are Pepperidge Farm and Marie Callender's brands. A whole pot pie typically has over 1,000 calories and 18 grams of fat! That's information enough to put this one on your ""do not eat"" list.
- Cheese cake
Not all cheesecake is terrible for you--though a slice should be approached with moderation--but The Cheesecake Factory's frozen offerings are so bad for you, they boggle the mind. A single slice has 29 grams of saturated fat.
- Specialty coffee drinks
A lot of people enjoy hitting up the local coffee shop for a grande, mocha, whipped, frapp, something-or-other, now and again, but they can really pack on the pounds. The Venti Strawberries & Creme Frappuccino contains upwards of 770 calories.
- Fast food French fries
Not all fast food is completely terrible, but most deserve to be on this list. For instance, French fries from any of the major chains contain 25 grams of fat and 540 calories.(Its salt content has not been mentioned.) - Canned soups
Canned soups are loaded with sodium and are terrible for those with high blood pressure and heart disease. A can of condensed soup can contain more than the amount of salt you're supposed to eat in an entire day. All in one can!
- Mint chip ice cream
Mint chip ice cream from Haagen-Dazs is another prime suspect on the foods to never eat list. For instance, a single serving contains 38 grams of saturated fat. And if that weren't enough, it also has 1,270 calories.
- Soda
Sodas are well known to not be very good for you, but they also have ten teaspoons of sugar and 150 calories. These calories are completely empty and contribute to obesity and diabetes. Plus they rot your teeth. They are definitely not a good combination.
- Processed breads
Breads that have been processed by adding in preservatives and removing nutrients are not good for you because anything beneficial has been removed and just goes into your body as fat. Just about every non-organic bread is processed or ""enriched"" so it's important to read food labels.
- Some cheeses
Not all cheeses are bad, but many are super high in fat content with up to 10 grams of fat per serving. Plus, 120 calories is just too much for one ounce of cheese. Luckily, low fat versions of cheeses do exist.
- *Bacon
Bacon may be delicious, but it contains 10 grams of fat and up to 120 calories. The worst part is these calories are pretty much just from fat and salt, making bacon a contributor to heart disease and even some cancers.
* Bacon and all other forms of pork are prohibited in Islam.
